"Love is love is love. 💗 Fam: on Saturday, June 20th you’re invited to celebrate 🏳️🌈PRIDE 🏳️🌈with a massive virtual dance party bringing together our Daybreaker community around the globe.
Just 50 years ago, the first official gay pride march took place to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Stonewall Riots on the streets of New York City. 🗽What began as a crowd of a few hundred courageous humans grew to a mighty movement of thousands, stretching nearly 15 New York blocks. Pride began as protest—and fam, in times like these, we must continue showing up. 🙏🌈
So, with open hearts, we’ll warm up with yoga led by by Alyssa Arroyo to breathe into our bodies. 🧘♀️ Then dancing wild and free to soul-shaking beats by DJ JPATT of The Knocks, we’ll honor the power of house music—a genre created and nurtured by resilient Black American LGBTQ communities. 💛 And for our closing ceremony, we’ll settle into the quirky, colorful music of Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter and boundary breaker Tayla Parx. 💫
