Once in a while I need to feel better about some of the mistakes I've made by finding the silver linings. Soho Rep is one of the shiniest silver linings I've spotted through tumultuous times.
Why did I buy a pair of tickets to a performance when my gut knew the guy who invited me to the play in the first place wasn't going to show up? I bought those tickets because I was meant to sit alone and experience the full force that is Soho Rep. For the life of me I can't recall the name of the show, but remember how engaging it was. The whole performance revolved around the audience's placement and our reactions to their stories. I can't forget almost skipping it because I didn't want to be stood up.
